I was making a 3D bedroom. when i tried to put notebooks in a bookshelf it placed them on the ground!!! How do you stop this from happening, if you can't, WHY DO YOU HAVE BOOKSHELFS???
There are quite a few bookcases and shelves available that already have books. To add to bookcases/shelves use items that attach to the wall and position them on the shelves at the right height. Also check out other people's designs to learn how they made their bookcases look good.
Is there a way to make books go in a bookshelf rather than on top of it?
There are a couple of catalogue items that are wall-attached books. You can adjust their elevation and line them up with shelves. Use the search terms
"deadgood" and "conceal".
lol, I think you meant to say 'thank you' for the tips, right?
@Starsector: What did you win when you won the competition?
P.S. Deserved winner!
Hi Shoe, Thank you so much! I won 16 credits to use on other renders ;)
I believe the prizes go like this:
5th: 3 (or 6?)
But these are based on vote count, not the actual position on the contest page. For instance, 3 designs could get 4th place if they have the same number of votes, and Roomstyler generously awards 10 credits to all three of them :)
The Roomstyler staff creates them, but they often use our suggestions. There's a couple threads with contest suggestions they've picked from.
On the rare occasion there were 'ties' for 1st place, Roomstyler chose the one with the most Hearts/Likes at the time the contest ended to be the top banner design.
I think it's because your camera is in the wall. Even though it looks fine in the camera view/preview, the walls actually 'thicken' during the render, which buried the camera image. Just move your camera forward a bit (or move your south wall back a bit), and that should fix it ;)
That's correct. Too much of it extends into and beyond the wall.
Yes, the walls actually thicken during the render. So even though it seems fine in the camera view/preview, during the photo render the wall thickens and buries the image. Just move it forward a bit, or move your wall back a bit.
Hi Shoe, you've got your light setting all the way turned down.
Click on the lightbulb in the left panel, then move the slider (under the Day/Night Buttons) into the center or way more to the right :)
If you can't take another photo, just move any object on your floor plan a tiny bit, that will reactivate the photo save button under the Camera View image.
Much better! Still a little too dark, though. Add some pretty lamps at the sofa ends, and maybe an overhead light, too :)
They used to have a messaging system on the site, years ago when it was called "myDeco" but they discontinued it. I think they were trying for a 'facebook/myspace' type of platform. But it didn't get used much (and unfortunately, some people were harassed through it). We manage to accomplish quite a bit on the forum, though.
You're using the wrong light slider. Use the light bulb one and go "Save as". Then Remix and go "Take a 3D photo" and put that light slider back to normal.
Hi Shoe, I'm sorry but it would not be appropriate to exchange emails. As a young person, you should never give out your email address without your parents/guardian permission as a way to help keep you safe :)
I don't believe you! Share your e-mail address with family and friends only!
Since you don't seem to understand the importance of Starsector's excellent explanation/warning I don't mind being the boogeyman here and telling you straight up:
If you post your e-mail address for anyone to see anywhere on the Internet you are endangering yourself because there are weird people in this world who might come after you.
If I see that you have posted your e-mail address anywhere on Roomstyler I will report you to Roomstyler and they will kick you off this site.
