two bedroom flat

Hi there,

we have bought a flat and wondering how to make it fit for a family of three including 4-year old daughter.

Floor plan is here https://roomstyler.com/3dplanner?room_url=https://roomstyler.com/3dplanner/rooms/31786203/31786581

Our idea is to have bedroom in the smallest room, children's room in the second largest one and the biggest one would be living/dining room and home office all-in-one.

We'd like to keep it simple and light while also meeting all requirements.

Ceiling is 2.7 meters high.

We deeply appreciate if anyone can provide us with some ideas.

Thank you in advance

Question: No exterior windows in the living room?

Theadora 5 months ago

Living room has windows towards the loggia which in turn has windows. This loggia spans both kitchen and living room.

thank you, images look very interesting indeed

I never expected a room might feature so many mirrors

as it happens I messed with windows height on loggia, they are in fact span up to a ceiling.

Congratulations on your new home.   Will you please give the dimensions of the windows in the loggia, and also, is it heated?  One more question, do you plan any renovations?  Thanks.

Realized I don't know what climate you live in so I suppose the right question would be, can the loggia be used all year long?

thank you

windows are 1.8 meter high with lower edge at 0.9 above the floor.

It's about -5C on average during January and July is above 25C.

I personally like an idea of open loggia but it will be less of the use for almost half a year.

We didn't plan any renovations apart from new electricity supply and modern bathroom facilities.  Obviously the wall between the kitchen and the living room can be demolished but I don't see how it can be beneficial.

Thank you.  I'd prefer an open loggia too, and I agree about knocking down the wall.

Question: What are your colour and style preferences? :)

Theadora 5 months ago
VP123 - 5 months ago

We like light warm colours without any particular style preferences. Probably something Scandinavian, Mediterranean, or mid-20th century. Something with natural wood but not Louis XV :)

After a little consideration we found out we are also keen on traditional style.

I know you said you weren't planning any renovations, but I put a sliding door in the living room to add more light to the space.

demolishing the wall changes the space dramatically!

I'm not sure if sliding doors can be installed but they look very interesting indeed

@Theadora children's room looks nice although I would probably put desk closer to the window for more natural light

@meggle you've somehow managed to make this living room look bigger than it is. Not sure if I understand what that dark grey rectangle behind the table is.  Bedroom is unusual too with closets around the bed.

The grey rectangle behind the dining space is a large artwork, since there is nothing on the bric wall.

I am aware that is unusual to have that kind of wardrobe in the bedroom, but, sice roomstyler is limited - I can't do things that people usualy do in AutoCad or similar programs for designing, i did it here with wall and wall openings, but what I meant is something like this
