Still working on a light revamp of this room. So if things look out of sorts, that's why. Should be ready soon.

Probably determination more than patience. Sometimes I have to switch gears and do something else for a while, when I get frustrated with the organizational and rendering issues and the limitations of the software. Particularly, functions that I feel should be no-brainers to include. But anyway...despite all of that, I am grateful to have found this site. I don't remember what I was actually searching for at the time. But this was a super find. I'm having a great time.

Well Im guessing you have a lot of patience. As long as you enjoy what youre doing then its al good.
Youre welcome. Its a good feeling to know someone likes your work, so the least I can do is take a little time to check out others work and let them know!

Thank you, Mandy. You are correct. Since I love many different design styles, I work hard to achieve rooms that I would want to live in or would enjoy, if I were away from home. Like this one, often a story comes to mind about who would live here. When I have time, I will backtrack and add stories to each project.

After the contest, I will post more views of this room and the connecting areas. I think you will like them too. Tuubz, thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to view my work, "love," and comment. Greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much. It takes me several days to over a week sometimes to complete a room to my satisfaction. Often my ideas continue to form and even change completely as I work. I wish I could work faster, but I choose to create something that I will love to the fullest the first time, than wishing I had done something differently, had I not rushed through it. It amazes me that some can create beautiful rooms in a day or even several in a day or two. My creative juices flow at a very quick rate, but execution takes more time, because I spend hours just searching for the items that I'd like to use. Sometimes I have to improvise, which slows me down, but more often, I get choked up by the inefficiencies in the search and filtering features. They drive me nuts! Those, along with items rendering incorrectly and waiting for the changes, plus having long waits for 3D rendering to take place, eat up a vast amount of time.

It is a lot to look at, but I deffenitely can see that it isnt just randomly placed like a lot of people do, but that you tought of it! And that is a lot of thinking :D:D.  I cant imagine how long it takes for you to design a room. Even in my simple minimal designs it takes a lot of time to put everything in a precise order and choose the right objects.  But realy respect for your effort

Haha. Thank you, Tuubz. Yes, I am faaar from being a minimalist. In fact, minimalist design is much harder for me, because I can't stand emptiness. I can appreciate the minimalist work that others do and sometimes, actually like it. But it doesn't come naturally to me, because the voids would drive me nuts. I realize that I  accessorize more than most, but I aim to do it in a way that forms table-scapes or still-life type of arrangements, so that everything works well together and doesn't just look like a heaping mess. Everything is arranged with purpose, with lots of time spent on contrasting textures, balancing color, and achieving depths in scale. I'm happy that you like what I've done here. Thanks again.

Thanks so very much, Eva. I love when the designers' whose work I enjoy most, also enjoy mine. What a great feeling. I'll be posting other views of the room and once completed, an adjoining dining room, with a step-up tv area, a hallway, and an enclosed porch. The first two, I haven't started yet, but the other two just need a few more tweaks before posting.

An there it is...and beautiful as I suspected :) I really like the combination of blue pastels on beige and a little hint of gold. Feels very wintery and fits the surroundings. Just gorgeous!!!
