Ayudewi382, I can't speak for anyone else, but I like to create an environment that I would enjoy living in. I tend to be more traditional in my approach. I love wood and stone, lots of color and being far from minimal in the decor. I love using accessories that complete the feel of "home". I love antiques and more traditional/classical art. It just creates a much richer feel to the room, in my opinion. So I guess you could call that my "style". In that respect, I guess it is similar to this style as well. :) Many of Maja97's are more traditional as well and I like to think I resemble hers just a bit too because I love her work. :)
You are welcome, Lydiaenderlebel!! Thank you very much also for all of your generous comments! Need to admit that You and Daisy have give me an inspiration to do classic European & American designs one day (i will need practices first!) Hope i can conquer it :)
@Daisy, Its true! Very glad i've joined this community. Not all run smoothly in here, i know, but at least i know something positive happened here also, not to forget to mention how this site are full of talented peoples, full of inspiration that we can learnt from. But really, Daisy, i am still lack of creating such as beauty and comforting European & American classic designs as yours and Lydiaenderlebell have created so far. But, i hope one day i could made one or more, that would be a challenging for me :)
I was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil but I would also miss a place like that! Love it!!!!!
Thank you Russ, Violetta and Janelle ! A compliment from accomplished designers like the three of you means a lot, especially since I am just a beginner.
This is beautiful, and with so much character Lydia! Thank you so much for all the nice comments, I love the mountains too but think I will be missing them this summer.:-)
Thank you, Ayudewi, for your generous compliment, especially as my style is concerned. Perhaps this is because I am one of the older (but brand-new) members (if there are any at all), it seems this website is more or less the domain of young people, which is good but for those of us who have experienced a bit more in life, re-living lost dreams is wonderful, but of course not nearly as wonderful as hoping that dreams of the future will come true.
Thank you Fairlight, for your compliment. When visiting your site I try to look at a few more designs each time but it will take me a while to work my way through all of your designs since at the moment I am overwhelmed with learning and keeping up with all the comments and visits to the site of those who do me the honor!
Thank you, Daisy! It makes me feel good that I have inspired you to use styles from different periods. As for your other comment, maybe we can arrange a winter for you here in the German Alps. That would surely be wonderful. And thank you for your continued support, and all the suggestions on the board here.
Ayudewi382....I think we all get inspired by the work of others. When I saw her Tuscan Summer, I liked the furniture and old classical look so thought I would try my own room along those lines. I have seen various designs from everyone on the site and was inspired to do my own interpretation. That's what is so great about seeing everyone else's work, getting ideas and having your creativity inspired by others. :) Thanks for your continued compliments on my work...
And to answer your story, I am very sorry to hear such as bad experiences that cause that fear (and uncomfortable feeling) of sea water for you @Lydiaenderlebell :(I hope no more such as experience like that in future for you!Well, i can't swim either and almost always feels dizzy when couple times in the past has the need to crossing island using passenger ship ( i live in Java Island but my beloved father comes from Sumatra island) I think as my self more in love with hills/mountain even though i kinda like beach side living but well no such things if its involve with the middle of deep sea - so i guess no cruise for me :)
Perfect!! And yes, so cozy!!!Anyway, I notices that you and Daisy almost have the same style while did some interior designs here, which is i consider my self still not able to do such as things as wonderful & cozy like what you and Daisy has created so far. But, well i want to learnt to make it and challenge my self one day :) Anyway again Lydiaenderlebell, thank you very much for your sweet generous comments! :)
This is wonderful! I agree with Daisy... it does look very cozy! :)
