many thanks to all
Sorry about that, the design is called "Warehouse Ceiling". I didn't count how many designs you have to scroll down before finding it. (did it, you need to scroll down about 30 designs. bTW, aren't you going to school?
BTW, I don't even recognize a similarity between your design and the original. I think you did a great job here!!!!Keep it up and don't let people who love to critique others get you down.
You need to scroll down to the first answer at the bottom and then scroll up to read it in the correct order.
Yes, in some ways you sound like an adult but adults who are not generally around kids (anymore) truly forget or don't know the level of wisdom, knowledge, maturity etc. kids at a certain age possess. I know I don't. When I get back to Germany I'll try to be around my (in a few days) ten-year old nephew more often, who has a hard life in other ways than you do and therefore I believe he has acquired a lot of maturity for his tender age. All my family and his mother's friends try to make life better for him in as many ways as we can. Anyway, I am straying... Lastly I want to add, you should be proud of yourself to try to compete with mature adults and other youngster, who mostly are older than you are. So don't quit RS, but try to quit going to the forum, because those two are all over the page. Go to Starsector instead. (I'll help too if I can but I am not as familiar with as many techniques as she is)
What I suggest to you is to look through my designs, and if you find something you like to "redecorate" , why not let me know, and we can possibly discuss on how you want to change it etc. and have fun doing it. One design I can think immediately that would be suitable is "My Cozy Hideaway", which I originally had done with red brick and some changes in furnishings, a design I liked very much but since I needed to make a decision I erased it. If you know how to add landscape etc. then you can start be doing that, go to the red brick and think of some furnishing changes. Voila, you can make it an nice and easy design!!!
And the best thing is to stay away from the forum unless you have questions, with which you can and should go to Starsector. She is not only very kind but also very skilled and knowledgeable. I saw that she defended you against those two, which is good. Do NOT answer their comments!!!..... Continued above.....
To answer your question whether or not you were "mean" to them, I will have to re-read it again, since I only skimmed it very briefly.
Now, as to your designs. I would advise you when you "remix" you have to make a bundle of changes so that it will not be a copy because as we all know, designing a room is a lot of work and takes sometimes a lot of thought and creativity, and although RS does not enforce a copyright but offers the remix for new members to learn, that doesn't mean that you can simply change one or two things and claim it as your own, even though the original is acknowledged. In writing for example, even the slightest wordage that you borrow from another author can land you in court. Continued above....
I got your message, which you posted on my "kitchen" design, and I read the dialogue on the Forum. I try very hard to resist the temptation to reply to both individuals who hurt you so deeply. If I were to go on the forum and get engaged in a dialogue with them, I would probably say or write things that make me sink to their level. If you go the "Nighttime Garden" forum, you'll see some of the dialogue between those two and me, as well as my last comment there. The best advice I can give you is to stay away from any communication with those two, because if you keep exchanging words, they will drag you down to their level. I have no respect for so-called Christians who quote the Bible at every turn while practicing self-righteous and judgemental behavior towards their fellow human beings. Continued above....
I'm watching your progress, never stop designing(I couldn't have said it better) , you're on the right track :D !!!!
Dear Emaline, Just read your latest post on the forum. Don't like to reply on there, so I'm writing you here. I am so very sorry about your Mom. Why are you in a wheelchair, if I may ask. I understand if you don't answer. And why do you not live with your family in FL, are you in a home??
How on earth can a young person like you cope with your and your family's fate?
Wishing you a lovely Sunday,
this Lydia :)
BTW, you made such a huge change from the original in your design that you might have done just as well designing it yourself from scratch!!! It is very nice!!
Hi Emaline, I just now read your note on my site. I'd be happy to be your friend. And seeing that you remix a lot, I give you permission to remix some of my designs, with the request, however, while keeping the architecture, to change the interior decor/design completely, and of course leaving the reference to the original designer in place. In writing, this is done by attribution to the author, for example. If you like, I can make some suggestions as to which designs I wouldn't mind your re-doing, but don't forget to also try your own architecture, since this is the only way to learn and progress. I too am still in a learning process, and sometimes it is hard to figure out how someone does certain design techniques. You probably won't hear from me often during June, since I am ending a four-months stay with my daughters in the US and will return home to Germany near the end of this month. So I'll be busy until mid-July.
Wishing you a nice weekend,
Emaline, read your note on my design. Are you sure you are only ten years old???? You sound as if you are a number of years older, or maybe I haven't been around kids in a long, long time (with the exception of my nephew who will be ten within the next couple of days.
As far as T is concerned, sometimes it's best to leave it alone and move on. Good luck!
thanks sally :)
