through view from chill out room to formal living room in the house in the Lawn a private road in London
Hi again kitty :) I so understand how scary it would be to live in a big city. If I were in Montreal right now I'd probably be totally paranoid and constantly wiping doorhandles and elevator panels! Since we're retired we don't "have to" anything so, unlike you, can avoid people. I hope you'll be able to re-charge on weekends by making more peaceful designs (maybe a meditation room with mats on the floor and lots of plants/candles? - just a thought. :)
I don't think RS/FP wants to accommodate people who use the sites for just hobby decorating fantasy rooms anymore. During the Mydeco time freeloaders were a bonus (good advertising tool) but are now a burden to RS/FP. RS's FAQ page seems to have been thrown together in a hurry and like you stated the FP guide is not user friendly. They should have a good look at homestyler.com 's "learn" page, they did an excellent job. :)
great! thanks for the tip! I really cant make head nor tail of floor planner it really seems more for a builder than just hobby decorating fantasy rooms.
Hope all is well with you.
I'm exhausted this week being back at work full time is no fun but I must be grateful as every day the news is full of retail redundancies in the UK..scary times.
Hi kitty, sorry it took so long to reply! :) I've been exploring homestyler.com., was quite impressed so signed up as Theadora. Mind you, I've not attempted to create anything yet but it's very similar to RS except it's much better organized/informative. Basically it's everything I wished RS to be. It's not perfect though but I'm sure I'll figure it all out eventually :). I don't feel overwhelmed by their info so really think it might be worth your while to check it out.
Check our FP's Manual - 60 pages compared to RS's 23. https://fpcdn.s3.amazonaws.com/static/brochures/Floorplanner_editor_manual_version_020320.pdf
I'm afraid when they switch over we're done for! :(
Hi Kitty, with the exception of a few governments with "idjits" in charge I expect/hope most are learning from this first wave and will be better prepared the 2nd time around. Unfortunately there are a lot of stupid people who will only change their ways if/when this virus starts affecting them personally.
Were RS/FP is concerned, I'm quite sure there will never be contests judged by staff. That takes time and effort on their part and it has been obvious for a very long time they're not willing to do that - besides, unlike Mydeco who often involved professionals I don't think there are staff on RS/FP with interior decorating experience/qualifications - after all they're computer technicians. I miss the room makeovers and like you don't find the contests very inspiring. Oh well, time to go visit HomeByMe, maybe I'll find some inspiration there. :) Take care, Theadora. :)
I hope you're still o.k., it's pretty scary out there. We're still isolating and doing fine - thank you for asking :). The most exciting thing happening here is hubby speeding with his lawn tractor, lol! Oldest daughter participated in a large protest in Montreal so if she's still o.k. after her self imposed 14 day isolation is finished this weekend I'll be able to relax a little. :)
Hi Kitty, lol, what Orionaute says! You don't have to search though, he's one of the people you follow! ;D
I like this room too. To find Houser you can search on following/followers of old members or in a contest where he/she post a room...
@Theadora thank you! I wanted it to feel like a room you would sit and read or relax in-so I'm happy you felt that !
Very relaxing, love that comfy chair! :)
