The scenery used for this design is an actual picture of Lavender Hollow Farm in Escalon, CA, where about 45 varieties of lavender are grown and used to make hand crafted products. It is an exquisite lavender farm nestled in the farmlands of the Northern central valley of California. There is a quaint cottage where they serve brunch. While looking out at the fields of beautiful lavender, you can drink lavender lemonade, eat cucumber tea sandwiches and have lavender sugar cookies for dessert. There is a darling shop with lavender essential oils, hand-made soaps, fresh lavender bunches and sachets, herbs de provencal, lavender linen water, and loose-leaf lavender buds so you can make your own delicious creations! And the fields of purple flowers! A million photo opportunities with many vignettes of lavender and other flower gardens. Unfortunately, when the drought hit California about 7 years ago, the farm closed to visitors. I believe they still produce lavender, though, and you can shop for their lovely things online. It is truly the lavender gem of the central valley!
